There is much talk about the prevailing culture of Australia - how to preserve it and how to shape it for the future. Our media provides an insight into some of the challenges facing our younger generation today. While this does not apply to everyone, the symptoms are however sufficiently widespread to cause concern, not only within the family unit, but also at the highest levels of government.

This paper is designed to provide the reader with an awareness of at least some of the many areas, within our changing culture, that are currently being closely monitored by sociologists, government agencies, educationalists and community support groups.
